Agreed , you will never know how good they are until they get a run of games. Just because your not prem level at 18 doesn’t mean you won’t be at 22. Look at DCL , was nowhere near the required standard for 2-3 seasons. Also that CHO fella , and no I have never seen him play, that is on his way to Dortmund for 17m . We need a strategy that allows players to show what they have got before we release them

Its a real double edged sword at times for a club like Everton. And possibly clubs like spurs. You cant get the guarenteed(ish) top drawer players. So end up getting the tier or two below for silly money. 90% dont really change your standing or status.
I'll rattle off a few. Not all as i dont want to start crying

All players no top clubs would touch. And no club deemed below Everton would pay the sort of money Everton did for them. We're that middle ground club.
I mean i'd rather have Ghazi on loan than pay 30m for an iwobi.
What we need is a manager who's due diligence is so good he gets his recruitment right more than wrong and has a squad of hungry players. Something that Everton have spectacularly got wrong in the past few years. Iwobi is the absolute benchmark for this. Coasting here on a fat contract for 4/5 years. He symbolises everything about where Everton have gone wrong.
We may have to take this on the chin for a while. But gray at least gives me a bit of hope. 1.7m. You can hit a few bullseyes.

Villa fan here - El Ghazi has one good game in 5. Don't expect much - he's a YouTube player - could make a decent 2 min video of him, but all in all he's nowhere near good enough.
He has a particularly uninspiring Wikipedia page. Sounds like championship fodder.
Villa fan in peace. There have been some magic moments, and I will never forget the fact that he broke Ramadan fasting for our playoff run, and in an interview beforehand said he hoped his god would forgive him.
