Anwar is a lovely bloke who has given us some really special memories. The term “confidence player” was invented for this bloke. When he is confident he is capable of doing special things like the goal at your place last season, when that confidence is dented he can disappear, so if you want the best out of him give him as much support as you can.
My abiding memory, apart from the goal in the play off final will be the fact that he broke Ramadan for the play offs in order to be at his best, and in a interview afterwards said he hoped his god would forgive him.
I think it shown his character perfectly.
