Confirmed Signing Anwar El Ghazi

Kind of feel bad for him. Always thought he was a decent player, not first team City material but a useful player with some plus attributes.

Now he gets pushed on us, evidently by Kia. The ex manager didn’t even want him.

So here he is, unwanted and unloved. He was coming in at our one position of depth even before the window closed, and with our deadline day deals he’s now about as needed and useful as a third tit.

He’s going to rot on the bench, probably won’t even make the match day squad and none of it is his fault.

He's another attacking option, given what our choices have been most of the season it isn't a big deal. Villa fans don't say he's useless just inconsistent, wingers mostly are.

Just need to pull you up about this unnecessary third tit thing... As a man with 2 hands and a mouth, I believe a 3rd tit on the Mrs would be very useful.. that aside... good post :)

Just out of interest, had El Ghazi been brought in on DD by Lampard, would opinions be different?

I don`t think so.

No one has got anything against the lad, it`s just that as many have said, his loan makes even less sense than that of Josh King.

At least with King, we needed cover for DCL.

If he doesn`t get on the pitch against Brentford, I doubt very much whether he ever will tbh.

They'd be a little bit different, yeah, because that would suggest that the manager wanted him and felt he offered something that the players we already have don't in relation to the way he wants to play. It would still seem odd, because we're well stacked in his position and have glaring weaknesses elsewhere, but you'd at least believe there was a plan behind his signing. As it is, it appears that he wasn't brought in for footballing reasons and so obviously there's considerable skepticism about his worth.
