If we go down yes we lose revenue but we equally can sell DCL, Richarlison, Pickford for over £100+ million in fees to counterbalance that with about 300k a week off the wage bill for the trio.
Add Delph, Tosun, Gylfi, Kenny off the wage bill due to contracts expiring - another 300k or so a week saved there.

That whole period was just a mess. You always read in the press about managers having X amount of games to save their jobs. We binned the other fella off days after letting Digne go, and with the January window almost over. Seemingly no forethought at all.
