Looks to be a loan with no obligation thank god! Really not the standard of player we should be looking at, strikes me as some sort of backhanded deal or book balancing.Really surprised you've taken him off our hands. He almost exclusively can only play on the left of a front three as his main asset is cutting in and shooting off the left flank. He's a very limited player who most Villa fans would have been happy to get £3-6m for if we were to ever sell (which we are it seems).
A bit in shock over this. He's surplus to requirements for us and probably 5th/6th choice in the pecking order for our wide positions and you have decided to stump up £15m for that privilege. Madness.
Best of luck for the rest of the season though - Everton and Villa both great clubs.
I agree. but if you go from the stance that we were going to take him, a 6 month loan is the least damaging option.Even a loan makes absolutely no sense. We are perfectly set for wingers and are crying out for another CM. We are just paying this guys wages for absolutely no reason other than to help out Moshiris mate
Even Rondon ticked a box that we needed in a backup striker. This is completely nonsensical
Loans cost money, he plays in just about the only position where we have adequate cover. The money we will pay in wages and loan fee should be used towards getting a player in on loan for one of the positions we desperately need to strengthen.loan - fine.
anything else - not fine.
They value him at 12, with our transfer team we would be getting him for 30m plus add onsBuying for 2-4m would be nice, we could shift him without loss even when he's bang average.
