hes not a feckin dutch international and yous were stroked paying 9m for him
 
No harm in having more bodies in the squad and a loan makes sense. DCL struggling to get back, Richarlison also injured, Iwobi at the AFCON and generally being Iwobi. Save the funds for the summer and get a better player.

2 caps in 2015. He worths like £6m max a 5th choice winger of Villa.

Looks as though it's just a loan then. From a Villa perspective, that's disappointing as we'd prefer to get rid now for a fee because I highly doubt you'll be buying him when you've seen him play.

Should we be happy with Digne?
 
Not sure I agree with the 'we don't need any more wingers' thing – we do. We only have Gray, Townsend and Gordon – Richarlison is not a winger (neither he or the manager like him there) and Iwobi is... Iwobi.

Can see why we could use the cover but the thing is, El Ghazi is completely rubbish. I mean, who decides that a player who everybody says needs confidence should come and play at the most hostile home ground in the country right now? Poor lad will want to retire after this loan.

However, he may be rubbish and a pointless signing, but everyone needs to get behind him all the same. You never know with loans, they could be the next Senderos or the next Pienaar.

A bit in shock over this. He's surplus to requirements for us and probably 5th/6th choice in the pecking order for our wide positions and you have decided to stump up £15m for that privilege. Madness.

Limited but he also hasn't been given a run. When Jack was playing he was in El Ghazi's and so he's had to contend with a £100m player in his spot. He's down the pecking order purely because we've spent big on his position. Never been loved arguably since we went up, and seems utterly determined to make an impression when coming on, hence why he cuts in and shoots all the time. There's definitely a player in there and I wouldn't be shocked if he does well.

This is standard now for any PL player. I'd also point out that you're guaranteed a goal if you get a penalty, which would be quite nice following the recent miss..
