No, there was a melt down regarding iwobi
And yet when I just picked a page at random from his signing thread I saw all these post saying exactly what I said they would be

Loads better than Walcott so it's fine from me.

tbh i have no idea if he is any good, but he keeps mirallas away

Is he better than Lookman....believe so. Thumbs up from me.

More creative than Sigurdsson

offers pace is a threat going forward more direct than Walcott and Lookman I think it's a good upgrade

Fans will always assume pretty much anyone is better than players they watch every week who are crap and forget that other teams have crap players too.

We get options at striker (Gray moved inside) and on the flanks.

£2M for that. The manager is a genius. Your mate Brands would have taken 12 months to line all that up and paid £60M minimum.
As you know David, I was no fan of Brands. There is enough loathing in my heart for Moshiri, Brands and Benitez.

El Ghazi's loan fee will be seven figures so I'm not sure where £2m has come from.

Genius manager, lol, look at the league table.

Benitez haters when they thought Everton had paid £15M...then realised it was a loan

Fair enough
I’m looking forward to seeing him in blue

Loan deal for a £15M rated player with no commitment to buy would be another bit of shrewd busainess.

Basically we're putting him in the shop window for Villa and taking £25M off them for a washed up Frenchman.

You drive a hard bargain Eddie Munster.

How is he £15M to Everton if there's no commu=itment from Everton to buy him?

I think you might be confused here. Happy to explain further on request.

Please do.

I didnt mention us paying 15m.

I said Villa paid less than 10m and he has 18 months left on his deal. He's maybe 7 - 8 m I'd guess. A shrewd piece of business bringing a player the manager apparently doesnt want? Paying a player's wages who probably wont see any game time.

Shrewd indeed.

But you're saying the justification for this move is to allow us to move Richarlison or Gray up top.

Why not just sign a striker and let them play their actual positions?
Because we have three strikers.

Is this fact having any impact on you whatsoever?

You keep saying this but Brands brought two of those three players you mention in for 2 million.

Benitez isn't even negotiating the deals at the moment, it's Kenwright.

“In terms of the detail of the transfer, I have been in discussions with Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright for a number of weeks. It has been a pleasure to deal with Bill - a man who represents his club with genuine class.

Nice of you to give Kenwright the credit Dave. Know you're a big fan of his.
