Benitez' own words a week ago.
@davek we are still waiting for you to admit you got it badly wrong about Benitez being responsible for negotiating these deals.

Whenever you're ready.

You're like Trigger off Only Fools and Horses - a couple of steps off the pace at all times. That point was made earlier today.

On Gray: as I said earlier - it was only in September that Benitez himself revealed he'd been tracking Gray for 4 years prior to bringing him to Everton. So yeah, I was wrong on Brands signing Gray.

It happens. Once or twice.
So what...you were against it when you thought it was Brands, but once it was revealed to be Benitez signing, you were in favour?

Christ as long as it is only a loan, I think it shows what an absolute mess the club is in.

When players have something to prove they can play well above their actual ability, hopefully this is what happens.

Actually, hopefully not! You know that Everton will go on to sign him for a big fee and he'll revert back to his usual form and that'll be more money down the drain on a PL reject who they're stuck with for years.

He's speculating that Coutinho's £15M wages are going to be paid for by Everton buying El Ghazi...but we're not buying him.

Moral of the story: Stay off twitter.
So what you are saying is El Ghazi's wages have cleared the way for Coutinho's!

And we should all use Twitter. ?
