Confirmed Signing Anwar El Ghazi

There is no evidence that he doesn’t want him, and no evidence that he is a Morshiri signing.
It's come from someone who is unfortunately a good source.

If Benitez does want him, then I'm happy to lay into Benitez for it. I make no bones about that.

We have four players who already play his position

The only way it works is if El Ghazi plays centrally and we go to a proper 4-2-3-1, but I can't see him getting in other Townsend or Richarlison

According to Toffee Tv and a few twitteratti they are
Yeah I don't trust TTV on this, we'll see what comes out.

I like Baz and Ped (most of the time) but I heard that comment, it wasn't from them, it was from a person asking them about that rumour and they said well if that was the case it'd be alright.

Ped, for his part, couldn't be more against the deal. Most people see it's just pretty pointless. We have players of our own, who need gametime, who play the positions he plays in.

Suppose we will never know for sure

I believe the deal has been set up to put the player in the shop window to be sold in the summer, and probably returning the James transfer deal favour.

I reckon he will play 10 games before the end of the season, hopefully he makes a positive impact.

In the summer we let him go and get our main target, Anwar is just a stop gap

It’s an odd signing no doubt, but I just cannot see additions being made to the team without Benitez consent. He is a hand grenade. Why would anyone risk a bust up with him?

It is possible there is more to this than we know, but I cannot see Morshiri going behind Benitez back.

Seems like a very strange move.

A position that we don't need but on a deal that ( in football terms ) costs us very little.

Isn't there a limit on how many domestic loans you can have ? If so that would be a downside to this deal.

Kia isn't James' agent or El Ghazi's. They're both on Mendes' books. It just looks like Kia is acting as middle man. It makes no sense.

Our owner is an idiot tbf

i don't really buy into this is a Moshiri signing.
besides i also do not agree we dont need another winger. look at the injuries we have had, we wish we had someone better than Wobi to bring on. On a loan it is a low risk hopefully he can as consistent as Gray / Townsend

When everyone is fit he is just swapping Villa's bench for ours but his stats say that he would be a way better option that Iwobi (not hard I know) so I think its a good move at little risk

We have seen with the Digne situation that RB is in charge at Everton.
Time will tell if that is for better or worse.

We were only able to spend less than 2m in the summer transfer window and we know the sale of Digne pays for the purchase of Patterson and Mykolenko...... money is still tight and our room to spend is limited.

Why would Moshiri try to force an unwanted player onto the manager and use up more of our scarce resources and possibly annoy the manager.
If we sign El Ghazi it will be because the manager wants him.

Just because this fella is slightly better than Iwobi then it doesn’t warrant us to sign him ffs!

I could pull 10 people out the Park End who would be more effective than Iwobi
