I was, until September 2022, when I was in hospital for a week with sepsis and a kidney infection. With that kind of health scare, I called time on my gigging, which started in January 1969 in the Liverpool night clubs when I was 18, and still at school. What I saw going down in the night clubs at that time, as a schoolboy, certainly opened my eyes to a lot of things!

But yeah, I was an 'axe man'.
From this, in Feb '71 (1970 Gibson SG Standard into a Marshall 100w plexi stack):

Wouldn't swap a second of it all for anything...
Did you hear of a band named the Lettermen, fantastic guitarist trio -? So sorry to hear about your illnesses - did you ever play the Tent in Huyton Quarry it was like a Phoenix social nightclub - The compare was a hoot .....

I can sing, dance, play guitar, bass, drums, piano, 15+ years of gigging and plenty of recording experience

But I'm absolutely loaded now, I live in a castle and in my spare time I enjoy flicking beans off my chest into a 24kt bucket placed 15ft away from me on my long Camelot table.

All the best with your search though and you have every right to be choosy. There's nothing worse than performing with someone who is absolutely crap even though they think they're good. Well, that's what my bandmates used to say to me before I sacked each and every one of them.

Hang on, the person has to play lead guitar - & sing - Is Joe Walsh available - plus what instrument do you play or are you just an agent for this band ? Any air guitarist will qualify ?
Haha, sorry no air guitarists Joey! Yes, lead player needed, tried Clapton, Knopfler, Walsh, all busy! I play bass

The place for Gigs now must be hard to find - in my day most pubs & clubs all around were many - I saw some terrific bands in Liverpool - my favourite band was a trio of guys - who sold guitars in Rushworths music shop in the day & performed at the weekend - The Lettermen - I watched them in the old cavern backing an unknown band named Show Waddy - they got the most applause - the band that made it were rubbish ....
They performed first - three local lads & tore the place down - I walked out on the top act - IMO rubbish ...

It's a shame the Lettermen never made it ...musically a class act ....
I worked with the Lettermen a few times. Alan Greer was a fantastic guitarist

Played the Tent loads of times, they had a brilliant resident band for many years, Norman Young on guitar, think Ozzy Yu was also there for a while

I know the name, The Lettermen.

I moved into the cabaret circuit in the mid-'70s. We were on with Showaddywaddy one time. They were a merger of two Leicester bands, hence two drummers. All I will say is that the two guitarists wouldn't have passed an audition for my band. They were financially backed by Harry Salzman, who backed the James Bond films. They won 'New Faces', the TV talent show of the '70s. I wonder why. Money no object - their PA system was outrageous! For anyone who knows about PAs, Two Crown DC300s slaved up, each DC300 driving two 4x12 JBL column speakers! 16 channel mixing desk. Everything mic'd up. IMO, I don't think the guy on the desk was up-to-speed with the intricacies of balancing everything through the PA, together with the sound coming out of the amps, and the ambient sound picked up by the microphones. I won't say any more for fear of litigation, in case it is picked up...

Played Huyton Labour Club when I was in a cabaret band. Stairs up from the dressing room to the stage. As you reached the top of the stairs, some wag had written, 'Give up hope, all ye who enter here!' We survived...
