Any regular match goers here actually buy any Food or Drink at Goodison?

No. For the simple fact that with my child like bladder I find it hard enough as it is to manage a whole 45 mins without having to go for a slash twice. An additional pint at half time would mean I'd catch approximately 7 minutes of second half action

Pretty sure the club out source the kiosk catering like a lot of other stuff and receive a flat payment regardless of sales.
Correct. Sort of. I work for Sodexo who do the catering at Goodison (they used to anyway, not sure if they still have the contract). What usually happens is companies tender with a flat fee and a percentage of profit when it reaches a certain amount, so it is still in Evertons interest to increase sales.
The thing to remember if they bring the prices down, then yes there will probably be more sales, but they then need to put on extra staff as there will be more customers which wipes out the extra profit.

If the answer to that question is a "no", then my follow up question would be, why?

For me, it's simply a matter of price

It's something like £6 for a Pie and a Drink

That's just ludicrous to me

If the club knocked everything down in price by just £1, I'd certainly be more inclined to buy concessions while I was in the ground

For me the answer is No. But thats because I am set in my ways. I have a certain walk to the match i take, I drink in the same pub, and i always eat in Ricks Cuisine before the game. They do a quality and cheap Half egg fried rice half chips and curry sauce.

Funny story - remember one time I was sitting in the family enclosure and a toffee actually found its way to my seat. I caught it deliberately with my head and feigned that it had hit me in the eye - poor little toffee girl looked absolutely mortified!

I can't remember whether or not she saw me laugh....

In all seriousness I buy grub about as regularly as we beat Liverpool. Back when I started goin' the game the stewards were quite relaxed and I'd have stuff like pot noodles and flasks of steaming hot coffee.

Even against Man United (the 4-3 back in 2004) I wasn't searched or anything, but then two months later Blackburn brought about 5 fans to Goodison for a meaningless game between two already-safe lower midtable sides and it was quite OTT. Strange that.

Half expected them to get the gloves and vaseline out.... I was to be disappointed though.....

I got told "On no account throw any sweets into the crowd" as the Parent isn't insured.... and someone had actually tried it on once, trying for compo.

Anyone remember Bertie Bassett at Hillsborough ? used to 'Pitch Liquorice Allsorts like baseballs' into the away end.
