they have midfielders who are physical and can run at full pelt three games in a week. We have the slowest midfield in the league who can’t sustain performances beyond 20 minutes.

Their creativity comes from the full backs and front 3.
As your correctly say , all they want from their midfield is physicality , mobility and the ability to make a quick accurate pass.
So are you half full or half empty don't sit on the fence.If we didn't have money to spend Carlo wouldn't be here. Carlo + Money = exciting times.
If Carlo leaves because he doesn't get what was expected when he joined, then we can all jack in supporting the club. So that will be a weight lifted if the worst happens.
To balance all that positivity I have to say at the moment my god are we a chore to watch. It's like 11 strangers picked off the street to play a game they had never heard of before. Just lucky that there are 8 or so clubs look like they are in the same position.
ON Carlo's interviews he says time and again that he has a lot of players with the club now that are the future ,so fasten your seat belts and we are off .
He can see what we see and yes the last two games have not been an easy watch but we all know that the results are what is needed to entice better players when the window opens .

Holgate Digne Gomes DCL Richarlison Kean are the ones he’s waxed lyrical about it in the past and I reckon he sees there half of a top back 4, a creative mid that needs support but can be at the top level (as he’s shown for us at stages) and three top young strikers. Who knows if Iwobi is included in that group or not.
To add to that he seems to be content with Pickford and Mina also. This isn’t 17/18 we’re you’d look at the squad and think there is nothing there to work with, a lot of the hard painful work has already been done. He’s arguably picked up the squad just at the start of the upwards curve where young players are coming good and poor players are coming to the end of contracts. A few additions and we could be a serious force.

Hate to be a terrible bore but the 4 nil beating from Chelsea 3 games ago was one of the worst performances I’ve seen and half the side is nowhere near good enough. My glass is half empty but before Ancelotti came in I never even had a glass.
