Last sunday league game I played was in 2004. I was badly hungover. I was sick on the pitch after about 10 minutes and subbed myself off after 20 minutes.

Many moons ago, played on Saddee with the Metal box in the business league

Sunday with Speke Argyle in the Liverpool league, seen some proper fights they didn’t take any prisoners tough league

Proper Sunday league, a lot of teams far too serious for my linking these days

Back when I played the top teams along the North Wales coast signed a lot of good players from Liverpool and the Wirral and surrounding areas. These lads could earn good money playing in the welsh premier on a Saturday and then on Sunday play for top teams in the Sunday league around the Cheshire area, Sunday league back then was very competitive at the top level.... some lads could easily make 3-400 pound a weekend playing footy.
