Big difference between backing him and wanting appointed right now today on a full time basis. Anyone who thinks losing a game is an achievement worthy of being appointed Everton manager is indeed very small time.

I'd prefer a top manager comes in asap. Buy if he's gonna get a run here, I hope DU makes it very very difficult for the board to ignore him. To do that he needs wins. Way too much hysteria today about what was still a defeat.

Have people been saying he should get the job full time today as a direct result of last nights game though?

The rest I largely agree with, the club should give him a few weeks while they test the market and if he turns the ship around then he's earned a chance to make the job his own, and I'd be happy to see him given the job until the end of the season at least.

Thing is, I'd say the vast majority of us are probably ok with him getting the job. The issue is the "heartening Cup exit", "better than a win" lunacy

I'd say the vast majority are happy for him to take over for now. It seems, more than anything to be the safe option, which let's face it, is what we need. As for you quoting a "heartening Cup exit"...where is this quote from?
