Sat with my kid and he's just seen the second half, I just told him that all the hurt you get over the years goes away when you see something like that for a single game. Then it's back again of course, but sometimes, nay, all the times, it's worth it. Great game tonight. Lovely effort from those kids. Hope we see something similar in the Derby.

Exactly. So how then do we judge it? Based on results? He failed. Based on decision? Tight angle shot, or teamate open at the 6 yard box? He failed.

Its not hindsight, except if he got lucky, which he didnt. Vlasics reaction was all you need to know. If you want Lookman to stay out of the first team, then by all means he should keep doing that, but I have higher hopes for him, and that means I hope he gets that bit out of his game so he can reach his potential.

So the 2 goals he scored should he have passed instead. Sometimes the obvious pass is read by defenders or expected and when a player chooses not to make that pass it can catch the opposition out. 2 goals could have had 4 and people are moaning......just wow.

Fair enough. I'm just not one for writing a player off after 10 or so games. He might turn out to not he of a prem standard. But up until 3 games ago our whole team was awful. Now we are starting to play well I think he deserves a chance.

To be fair he should have 2 goals and 2 assists (klassen and vlasic). But he's young and learning. I personally love the lad. His close control is immense
