Wtf was Koeman doing with the squad in training and tactically if we can beat these with a team of kids away from home? Still convinced he had all intentions of getting sacked after Giroud/Costa didn't happen. Clog wearing biff

HHMMM do you think he was after pay day??

You just can’t help feeling we really sold ourselves short in this competition.

Thank you, Koeman

I don't really think you can say that on this performance/game tonight mate, and I don't think the team that started tonight would have done much better against Atalanta and Lyon.

There was no pressure on us, and apart from the first 30 mins it was actually a poor game, and apart from Vlasic's goal we were (IMO) pretty poor in that second half, it was 2 poor Europa league teams playing for a bit of pride.

Great for the young lads to get a run-out, and they did well.

Right hands and be totally honest here
Who would have predicted this scoreline 2 hrs ago.
I certainly didn’t , I thought we were going to get bummed
I'm not a gambler as I see it as a mug's game. However, I was sorely tempted to put a tenner on an Everton win tonight. Seemed obvious that our young confident youngsters would turn over their weakened side.

Yes and rather than struggle through until January without a main striker he spat the dummy out and gave up, knowing he'd get a big pay day and knowing he'd have a good excuse which I'm sure will come out soon. If it's not that then he's actually just a terrible coach which looking at his time at Southampton is hard to believe.

Stating the obvious, but the whole club has had a lift since allardyce came to the club. Lookman alluded to that in his interview. Special mention to Craig Shakespeare, don’t think you can fault how he set the team up tonight, utilised the subs really well and as a result a number of our youthful players contributed. Ok he got the sack from Leicester, but it’s nice to have someone as assistant manager with genuine managerial experience and it showed tonight.

Like myself
I never gamble
10 Euro in a last man standing ( survivor ) once every 6/7 weeks is my lot.
My father told me if you see a Mercedes and a pushbike outside a bookies with only 2 people in it , it’s fairly certain the bookie owns the Merc
