So a player who was central to Arsenal's good season wouldn't be considered over a player who could barely get in the PSG team and was largely disliked by the Spanish supporters at the start of the tournament? It's the same for Lamal. He got 7 goals in 50 appearances for Barca this season. Nico Williams 8 in 37 for Bilbao. They all had really good tournaments, but that's the point people are making isn't it? Southgate turned people who play amazingly for their clubs and turned them into plodders for England.

The key here, wrt to La Roja, is that the RFEF decided to bet on the Basque coach, De la Fuente who has years of experience with this squad in youth categories.
