The problem with all this is the PL is primarily TV funded and viewing figures are important. So what sells advertising. Chelsea v Man City, Kopites v Man U or Burnley v Brighton ? The want away six hold the whip hand and whatever public sanction they get,it'll be repaid behind closed doors.Been mulling this today. As in, it will come back again.
The PL could introduce a kind of freehold arrangement, which all current, and future, clubs sign, effectively saying that the only way a club can leave the PL is through relegation, or if all the clubs agree to what ever might crop up in the future.
That said, it could be the perfect excuse for the scab 6 to chip off then.
Can't have a three game ban for a red card. That's punishing the fans.
Can't fine a club for massive racist abuse. That's punishing the fans.
No more bans for pushing walls over on fans either. That's punishing the fans.
Can't be punishing the fans can we.
ScabIt will be sooner than 10 years. This all started with the Premier League and this is, unfortunately, a natural progression.
No relegation. It’s not the fans fault their team is crap if they have rubbish owners. Can’t punish the fans. The fans can enjoy the trophies though that the owners buy for them.
So British teams and their fans didn’t suffer the consequences after 39 innocent Italians were murdered.Weird analogy. The fans are responsible for the creation of all these clubs, they are the reason why they exist in the first place. The owners have no connection to the fans. So with this Super League the players, manager, coaching staff and even the chairmen were not consulted about this. Txiki at Man City wasn't even aware of this ESL plan. So why should everyone at the club suffer because of select few greedy individuals who have ZERO connection to these clubs outside of money?
It's a bit like when Abramovich was sanctioned for his Russian/Putin connections; it had nothing to do with any of the fans or the players.
People actually make that argument for many scenarios.Ok mush, let murderers walk free because in essence if you give them life you’re punishing their children too.
