Why not?

They probably can’t and certainly won’t relegate them and as others have said, a monetary fine is pointless.

A points deduction of ten or twenty points is the only thing that will hurt them and ensure that this scenario doesn’t crop up again in two years time.

Which it inevitably will.

It will be sooner than 10 years. This all started with the Premier League and this is, unfortunately, a natural progression.

A fine alone is pointless.

points deductions is the only answer.

If that means they miss out on the CL next season then it’s a very fitting punishment.

Points deduction not really that important. Just ban them from europe for a couple of seasons. They didn't want their points tallies to matter, so the PL/UEFA have a simple way of making their points not matter.

30 point reduction implemented right now and reset their UEFA coefficient to zero.

Suspended European ban/ automatic relegation for 5-10 years to ensure no further immediate scheming.

I love the idealism on these many threads but there is absolutely no way that the FA, UEFA and FIFA will cut their noses of to spite their faces. They want the revenue those clubs generate as much as the club's themselves.
So whats the feeling of your supporters about what your club did
?
Didnt see many protesters last night compared to your Chelsea cousins.

And how do you feel being labelled Failed Former European Super lge club ?

Are the Premier League going to punish their cash cows of ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal? I think they are likely to take a pragmatic approach.
I think you are right. Don't agree with it but I think whatever they do will be a slap on the wrist.

The punishment needs to impact the fans otherwise the won't hold the owners to account. Spurs could win the league Cup on Sunday (stop laughing), City the Premier league and Chelsea the ECL. Their fans would be buzzing and quickly forget about this mess.

Personally I don't see a points deduction happening but reducing their power in the Premier league should be a goal for the other 14.

It's not. Acting like it is is symptomatic of why these 6 clubs, and their fan bases, should face the harshest punishment.

@Yid4life so you ain't going to stop going to the game, you can still get your pasty at London Bridge after playing at home to Leyton Orient, why does it hurt you as a fan?
