I think I may have to draw up a sig strip for that one.
"Basel - a club that hasn't even won the Swiss league more often than it's domestic rivals and whose club legend is Scott Chipperfield - are a bigger club than Everton."
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Ajax sell their best players every season and have done for at least 10 years. They're still a huge club.
Huge in there country maybe but not in europe
Top players leave there not join them, Plus when is the last time they did anything of notice outside of there league,I think there last cup win in europe was 95

Nice try, but i didn't say they were bigger, they would clearly get into a European super league ahead of Everton, who have never even reached the Champions League proper since it's inception.
RelegatedWho are they?
Isn't that true for the majority of the Prem though? Our manager doesn't think so, that's why 40 points is usually our first target.
Based on what grounds? Their European record is haradly great, this season aside. They have been the best team in Switzerland for the last 4/5 years, but so what, and they're hardly breathing down Man U/RM/Barca's necks on the Rich Lists...

Swiss League: 2002, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012
Swiss Cup: 2002, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010
They haven't lit Europe alight but they've done far more than we have, and have done far more to deserve entry to a European super league than we have.
Hardly any teams are breathing down those three when it comes to the rich list, but i really don't see how that's relevant at all...
