Well since Frank is doing a worse job everyone who wanted Rafael sacked should want Frank sacked, some don't, which makes zero sense since we have a bigger relegation worry now then we did then.

This is not an objective case though, it is not as black and white as this time last season compared with now, just looking at league position/points.

I am no more worried about relegation this time around as I was last time. I am a head in the sand hopeful kind of guy, most of the time, however if we look at all the aspects then we shall.

We have been up and down this season, with games we should have won but didn't for various reasons (some of them out of the managers hands, i.e. VAR). I think by this time last season we could see a potential as it was a good start and then free fall. The free fall causes panic and when you already had the belief that the manager was not good enough then it is understandable that you would think more negatively, and then vice versa. So, there is your sense, in regard to the differing opinions.

There is a bit more to it as well, like playing staff, our first choice this season and there have been signs that Lampard is learning about this side. There are going to be bumps in the road but hopefully not big enough to completely put us right in the mire.

Some will never have the good character to hold their hands up and admit they were wrong.

A few month back I joined a spiritual forum and any rare instances of aggro are shot down and said troublemakers encouraged to apologise for the good of the community. Its a shame you dont see it happen more between fellow Blues.
Tinder is not a “spiritual forum”.

The threat of relegation now is much bigger then it was this stage of last season.
One factor is the other clubs, we have stronger competition now.
But another issue is our expectation for this season should be higher then last season, and with having a deeper squad, and some more investment this summer then last, this run is unacceptable.

Look at it the other way, last November some fans ridiculously wanted the manger sacked, but for no logical reason those same fans don't want the current under performing manager sacked, makes no sense.
Mate you are disproving your own points here.

At this stage last year I was beginning to worry about a relegation scrap. Separately to that I felt the manager at the time was a poor fit and had made some poor acquisitions in the summer.

This year I am beginning to worry about a relegation scrap BUT critically I feel the current manager is a better fit for the club and has acted far more assuredly in the transfer market, making me optimistic that he'll bring in the right players in January to help us achieve the safety of mid-table.
