Player Valuation: £500k
Well the season hasnt even started, we bought no one, as everyone thought Mr Moyes is back in for Baines,
the Club has yet again gone quiet, our new manager is out the country, hasnt even met the squad yet,
in contrast the ****e have bought 4 new players and have been making plans for the new season ?
Sound familiar like every season, a swift see whos left that no one wants snap them up cheap, when are we going to beat the rest to a few of the best players.
heres hoping the club wake up soon and realize we need to hit the ground running, not looking where all the rest are.

Dafuq you on about ffs ??? it's not even July yet ya blert .... lads like you are a disgrace to be honest... we have a new manager in place who will do what he feels is right in the summer.. he has to stand by his choices.... we as fans need to give him a chance... how can the wheels be falling off when nothing has happened yet...you're talking wet

To be fair, the manager hasn't met the squad yet because pre-season training doesn't start until Wednesday. What's he supposed to do, call them all in from their holidays to introduce himself? He can do that on Wednesday.

I agree with what you're saying though mate, it's slightly worrying times. I'll be a lot happier if we can convince Baines to stay.

It is not worrying times, it's the transfer rumour mill and yes United did make a substantially poor offer for Baines which got rejected, stop panicking. Nothing bad is going to happen. The Wigan players we are linked with haven't been approached officially because business hasn't started yet. It's mere speculation so far.

The wheels on the bus go round and round they are not falling off and if they do then sparks will fly but hey! It's still close season, the players haven't come back yet, there's still 6 or 7 weeks until the season starts so let's not worry because everything is gonna be sweet

We have organized a great pre-season,
We have appointed a new highly regarded manager,
We have cleared some dead wood off the playing books,
We have reinstated AGMs.
The club actually seems to have listened re. badge fiasco.

Presumably Martinez was already contracted to ESPN, hence not meeting the squad till Monday. He will be well aware that he, most likely, needs to rebuild without Baines or Felli. It's not like we've missed out on anyone in his absence. I would imagine the ground work is already being laid. Way to early to panic.

What a blarg thread, a complete overreaction.

It's not even July, Martinez hasn't even met with the players yet and you're already going on.
We've made two approaches for two players, I'm going to wait until the transfer window closes to form an opinion. AT THE END OF AUGUST!

As someone previously said we've made some positives moves behind the scenes, just because we haven't signed anyone doesn't mean that the wheels are falling off.

What do you want the players to do mate? Come home from their holidays early just to say hello to someone they've already met before?

Mehhh...I'm gonna retract my first response in this thread...I was a bit over the top....sorry Wildcat.....I still don't agree with what you've posted but I probs responded a bit over the top....for that I appologise.......everybody is entitled to their own view on things ....I just happen to disagree with yours...no biggy....if we all agreed the forum would be boring...accept my appologies please and I look forward to reading your posts in the future.

Plenty of time for worrying later.
I am however a little annoyed that RM is doing this TV job though. ESPN contract or not, he should be in and around GP/FF.
Yes I know the players aren't back yet, but there's a lot more to learn about Everton than what players we've currently got.
Even if he's just settling in to his new home, all these little things take time and I'd rather he was doing them now, before the players get back and the real work starts.
Also, I don't care if his contract hasn't started yet, it's not a clock on clock off job!

Yikes, the transfer window hasn't even opened yet, the players are still on their hols, and as it stands we haven't sold anybody yet, little premature this thread. Feel free to resurface on September 1st when Baines and Fellaini are gone and we've signed no one though!
