I'm not concerned yet. Nobody does much business until July. RM has come in as everyone goes on Holliday, he's also had the task of combining his own targets with the players we as a club were already targeting. The baines and Fellaini situations will have a massive bearing on what we do/who we go for...it's just the way circumstances are currently.

I would think 1 or 2 will start rolling in from next week, maybe not any big signings but maybe your redmonds, back up GK, maybe a squad player or 2. But I can't see any bigger names until Fellaini and baines future's are decided.

As for that lot....4 players in early who tbh are not players I'd give a second thought about. It's only good doing your business early if your getting the right player. If we have to wait longer but get right players so be it.

Think there will be a leveling of in to midtable IMO. I like the Robbie appointment, prob the best we could do, alot will depend on players we sign, not just in terms of impact on the pitch, but possible future resale value which lets be honest is an important revenue stream for the club. If hes gash at it we will get closer and closer to the trap door IMO.

Well the season hasnt even started, we bought no one, as everyone thought Mr Moyes is back in for Baines,
the Club has yet again gone quiet, our new manager is out the country, hasnt even met the squad yet,
in contrast the ****e have bought 4 new players and have been making plans for the new season ?
Sound familiar like every season, a swift see whos left that no one wants snap them up cheap, when are we going to beat the rest to a few of the best players.
heres hoping the club wake up soon and realize we need to hit the ground running, not looking where all the rest are.

That's an interesting position you take there but incorrect

why's everyone so jealous about liverpool doing business early? they have bought utter tosh who i've not even heard off on your FM or FIFA games and spent a massive wod on these. None of them have great stats either.

Oh how i envy them. One of the worst threads i've ever read on here, complete over-reaction, can't some of you guys go one day without thinking about fretting over things that haven't even happened yet? Same applies to villa

Transfer window hasn't started yet, and our players are on holiday; you melts better apologise if we end up doing good business in the summer window

I'm jealous of Liverpool because they can spend money on tosh players and it doesn't really matter. If we made the transfer mistakes they made, we'd be finished.

it does matter that a team that should be challenging for the title based on how much they've spent last 3 years, but instead are battling it out with WBA for 7th place

But it does doesn't it...and before long, the Yanks will be demanding a return on the money lashed about like a sailor on shore leave. They've haemorrhaged money on gash players so, in spite of the likes of Stevie Gee-Laa saying its not important to be above Us (then contradicting himself), it obviously is to the RS. Im not panicking about things being quiet at Goodison...I prefer that to elaborate sham transfer talk that's never gonna happen. Im just about old enough to recall as a kid Catterick swooping out of nowhere to buy players like Bally. If that's the scenario, bring it on.

no probs kurt as you say were all entitled to our opinion coyb lol

Mehhh...I'm gonna retract my first response in this thread...I was a bit over the top....sorry Wildcat.....I still don't agree with what you've posted but I probs responded a bit over the top....for that I appologise.......everybody is entitled to their own view on things ....I just happen to disagree with yours...no biggy....if we all agreed the forum would be boring...accept my appologies please and I look forward to reading your posts in the future.

The RS have been busy but its well known you get better players available and better value at the end of the window.

Wouldn't go as far as calling the lad a disgrace, but yes it is a slight over reaction from a concerned fan. I'm guessing the thread has been made by him due to the media hyping up our two best players leaving and linking us with utter garbage. Time will only tell.

At least he apologizes eventually which is a courage action. I think it has gone way too far if one abuses the others because another poster does not share the same opinion.

for how many seasons now have we heard that this or that player is not for sale (lescott-Arteta-) to find a week before the season starts they have gone, Moyes has built and bought a good bunch of lads, if we loose Fellini and baines, we will face an uphill struggle we need to be adding to what we've got, all the quotes on Martinez wont start till july 1st? Moyes has already started at United, The RS has started Venger has started, Spurs have started, we all know we need two strikers, an attacking midfielder and at least one good defender, and that's if we keep hold of what we've got, all i am trying to get across, is yes the players are on holiday, but a good manager should know where our weakness lays and be working on getting the right players in, not being a TV pundit for some extra cash in the close season, if committed to improving the squad so he can get across his way of playing when pre season training starts, but all i see is Everton closed till were ready, just need a do not disturb sign on the gates.
