Overall verdict - Super work by Brands

Kean - Not done much at all has he.

Delph - Sicknote and hate him

Gbamin - Sicknote

Gomes - Sicknote

Iwobi - Useless flop

Overall verdict - If Brands has another window like this he needs to go.

I hear you, and agree, However the difference in quality over some of last summers acquisitions surely means we can be more positive. With a renowned manager, and the likes of James, Allan and Doucoure in place of players like Delph, Iwobi (very questionable quality) Kean and Gbamin (inexperienced) we have massively improved on paper. Lets see how it all works out. And in my mind, if THIS new midfield doesn't work out, I'm not sure what the answer is.

We still badly need a Digne at RB and one of Gylfi/Bernard/Iwobi?Gordon (or a horses for courses pick and mix) need to offer more left from channel cutting in (goals, assists, chances created) with Digne overlapping.

We now have quite a lot of tactical flexibility in midfield and attack with 433/442/4222/4231/4213 all possible on paper & Carlo's tendency to flex formation when defending vs. attacking easier to accomplish well. However, to get full value we need 15+ players to perform to their potential and last year maybe 3-4 maximum did that. That is the big unknown.

It's also win win going forward , because if we manage to offload some of the resident wasters , then I think that we will go back in and buy again.
God alone knows what's the matter with the 4 people who are very unhappy.
