The way you framed the question was massively skewed.
It should read:
"Does Multi-club football ownership present a threat to club identity?"
NO !

Reset the poll and rested the wording of it to "Does Multi-club football ownership present a threat to club identity?"Why?
Because the (admittedly small) sample size has shown your claim that "most people accept the threat is real" to be an absolutely wild and massively inaccurate statement?
I copied the quote from (weirdly enough) the DCL thread, because clearly the Friedkin one wasn't enough of a platform for you to spout your utter drivel on the matter.
Thinking a fresh poll will massively skew the results back in your favour is absolutely mental. I don't care what your actual political leanings are, but you could make an absolute killing working for the Tories over the next week working the media circuit saying the polls are all wrong.
Two weeks ago, when it emerged that Friedkin looked like he'd won the race, you could have said:
"I don't like the look of these! In my opinion multi club ownership erodes the identities of member clubs"
And left it at that. Point made based on your opinion
Instead, you've stated it as an absolute fact what feels like 500 times, boring the tits off everyone across multiple threads.
I had you on ignore because of your postings in the stadium thread around 4 years ago. Your non-stop naysaying was funny but draining. Sadly, ignoring you made the thread unreadable. (Add in the fact I actually enjoy your opinions on lots of other footy stuff, don't always agree but it's worth reading)
So now, I just very rarely visit the Friedkin thread. I can't, you absolutely boil my piss in there, that's not your problem, it's mine.
You're clearly in a massive minority. Some are for them, lots are adopting a "wait and see" attitude (wise) and a few are against. Does the fact you're fighting back against a tidal wave motivate you?
You should be studied at universities around the world. Genuinely.
Have a nice day.
I can't reset the poll, David.Reset the poll and rested the wording of it to "Does Multi-club football ownership present a threat to club identity?"
...then there's a debate to be had.
I can't reset the poll, David.
You know this only too well. Admin are welcome to change it if they wish, but you really are a slippery fish.
Multi club COULD impact identity if it was for example, a 3rd or 4th tier team.
You have been adamant from the very begining that Friedkin group controlling Everton is a threat to Everton's identity. I'm not talking about other clubs, neither were you so don't try and change the narrative because you know your wrong.
@GrandOldTeam if you're not already snowed under with reports of this silly man, change the wording of the poll to whatever he wants to fit his agenda. It will still show him to be wrong, perhaps he'll pipe down then. Of even better, vanish for a few months.
With hindsite this place was blissful without him.
Yes, I have. And that's because of the structure he seeks to place Everton in represents the threat, which is why the poll question had to be less focussed on Friedkin/Everton.I can't reset the poll, David.

How do you know this? You have a mole in the Friedkin Group Boardroom?Yes, I have. And that's because of the structure he seeks to place Everton in represents the threat, which is why the poll question had to be less focussed on Friedkin/Everton.
Many of us will hark back to the 70s and 80s and think 'that was us, that is who we are' but one of my older relatives (now gone) would hark back to decades before... even in the 70s/80s he'd say similar to what you're saying know.We lost it many years ago so no.
Tell @davek to put it awayI was interested to read this from forum stalwart @davek in the DCL thread (go figure)
"IMO the threat to our identity needed to be hammered home and I think sustained that, as most people accept that the threat is real and we need to be aware of it and counter it."
Re: the bold bit, are you most people?
(@mods I really wanted to put this in main Everton forum but thought better of it. Feel free to move it there for greater visibility, maybe that's where 'most people' hang out)
Could be, but that's absolutely nothing to do with the Friedkins, who are the devil incarnate determined to dilute every club they touch. (According to a certain fellow blue)
Start a poll thread D.Reset the poll and rested the wording of it to "Does Multi-club football ownership present a threat to club identity?"
...then there's a debate to be had.
