Confirmed Signing Armando Broja

Better finisher than DCL (which doesnt take much) but hardly prolific. Would feel like we are replacing one poor striker with another.

Based on what exactly?

I think he has an agent who likes to put his name in the papers. He's probably a 10 million player or loan signing at this point in his career

Which part?

Being a better finisher than DCL? The fact that every striker in the PL is a better finisher than DCL.

I dont want Broja signing but on loan i dont see an issue.

He's not great with his back to goal and he does rely on the ball given into him in space. Which probably dosent suit us one bit

I'd say he's hit and miss with his back to goal. Certainly needs to be more consistent with it. He's never going to be the one you launch a ball to and expect him to beat a 6ft 4in centre back to the header, although he's not terrible in the air. Holding the ball up with his back to goal, I've seen some good stuff and some equally not so good stuff. What he does better in those situations than Dom is to turn those back to goal situations into a situation where he gets faced at goal and can be direct. But generally speaking, he needs to get more consistent at that bit. He does have some quality on the ball, more so than any other striker we have, but I wouldn't be comfortable with just replacing him Dom and continuing to play the way we've played the last 18 months. We would probably be poorer for it, although the presence of Ndiaye there might change things a bit with the approach play

Not sure why we’d go for Broja instead of going for the likes of Adebayo. I doubt that we are in for him at all tbh.

I think Beto is a more effectively player at this point in their careers, and I'm no fan of Beto. Very similar players in how they play though, and Dyche was visibly frustrated many times by Beto.

Yeah.

The only upside is that Boja is younger and able to mould. Beto not so much (can improve though).

But his wages will be more than Beto's and there's a transfer fee. So if his knees explode again... we're stuck
