I like him, despite him never really showing anything. Just something there. I’d obviously much rather he wasn’t another just checking in for the 5 star Everton rehab adventure package though. Could be a master stroke if we can get him fit and firing, sign him for buttons and be the club he finally shows his potential, which he has kept well hidden for years, but is there. Or could be a very low cost pointless exercise and he’ll end up at one of the newly promoted sides next summer.

….i thought the buy clause was £30m.

We are not paying his wages, but supplying him treatment & facilities to get fit - he is on a season long loan he may not play a game as Deli Ali if he did we would have to pay his wages too or in the slightly different Deli case another lump sum of his transfer deal ....

It looks to be a gamble that has backfired another Everton That moment maybe ......

….he arrived injured (like Harrison on loan last season). I think the agreement was that we wouldn’t pay wages until he’s fit, which I imagine will be anytime now. I see it as more like Harrison than Deli Alli.

Unless I’m reading the situation wrong, i seem to think it was always likely to be around this stage he’d be ready. Given the training clips, I’d expect him to be involved very soon.

At worst we pay about half a seasons wage to the player and then he can go back to Chelsea.

If he is a success then we have a good player at a fee that is very reasonable for a striker.

It isn't as if we don't need a striker.

This is the last place I would go to for a dependable analysis of a player...with some honourable exceptions.

He is still very young, has had an awful time with injuries which some young players do.

If he is good enough then he has plenty of time to develop.

Once Arteta got that injury, his form dipped tremendously - plus where's that Arteta money :D

What have you seen to make you think he could be the solution?
