2024/25 Armando Broja

I've said the exact same thing in the Dom thread. Whilst they may have different attributes and whatnot, so can't be directly compared, strikers will get a raw deal.

Broja ended up having to deal with the same dreadful service (hoof ball), which meant he eventually had to stray wide or deep to even look like getting a touch.

The tactics are the largest problem here, not the players.
We played like we still had DCL up top.

There is a very small band of strikers who thrive off being the target man these days and Broja isn’t one of them. Same with Beto and same with Chermiti.

No point in lumping balls up to any of them but that is the only way the Dychosaurus knows how to play.

As someone else said on here, if you're going to play with a target man, at least set up the rest of the team and have tactics that works for that scenario.

The issue is we don't, hence the lack of goals. Look at Woods yesterday: before his goal, he had about four touches of the ball, but when it went up he had support.

They played to his strengths and guess what, they scored. Now Woods, Dom, Beto and Broja are all different players, but my point is they play to his strength.

Instead, we launch the ball up to the top with some large, looping ball expecting Dom (or whoever) to win a header or hold the ball up, with nobody else near him.

Dyche then expects our striker to come deep or wide to receive the ball, yet when they do so there's nobody in or around the box to be there to score.

If it was kids football, you'd be questioning the coach, let alone a PL team. In fact, I see my son's team play better football than the stuff I watch us play.

Once again if you don't have an actual tactics beyond hoofing the ball to a player that isn't a target man it's going to be challenging for him to excel and create chances

doesn’t matter who we play on our number 9 under this manager, they will look absolute god turd. He’s turned us into a forwards graveyard.

No player near him and chasing his own flick ons as per DCL. Must be soul destroying for forwards.

Stick prime Ronaldo in and he’d struggle.
