Chelsea striker Armando Broja has seen a loan move to Ipswich collapse because of an injury.

An initial loan move with an obligation to buy for £30m had been agreed but an issue flagged in the medical put Ipswich off completing the deal.

They are now looking at alternative options before deadline day as the Albania international, 22, is expected to stay at Stamford Bridge.

…not so sure about ‘cursed’, this was a high risk signing because his injury record suggested he could go amiss. Ipswich did their homework and pulled out of a deal but we took the risk. This is more about poor transfer strategy than bad luck.

Ipswich didnt sign him because he got injured.

We only signed him injured because the deal was so good coz Chelsea were desperate to get him out on loan.
