2024/25 Armando Broja

Well who could have possibly of expected that? I mean seriously, how often does this happen to Everton?

Hopefully they can return him to free up another loan spot.

Club is absolutely cursed.

…not so sure about ‘cursed’, this was a high risk signing because his injury record suggested he could go amiss. Ipswich did their homework and pulled out of a deal but we took the risk. This is more about poor transfer strategy than bad luck.

His goal scoring record is low as he hardly plays - send him back IMO ... a waste of a wage & treatment .... Ipswich were no fools .....

Hardly mate. He's had loads of injuries and was even injured when we signed him.

Besides the injuries he really not shown a great deal.anywsy bar a 6 months period on loan at Southampton

They pulled out of obligation to buy.

Still wanted him on loan, apparently.

Terminate the contract!

Thanks for the truth -
@Eggs propaganda is misleading.

….from BBC;

Chelsea striker Armando Broja has seen a loan move to Ipswich collapse because of an injury.

An initial loan move with an obligation to buy for £30m had been agreed but an issue flagged in the medical put Ipswich off completing the deal.

They are now looking at alternative options before deadline day as the Albania international, 22, is expected to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Might not be the truth. But the deal confused me at the time because Ipswich went back with repeated bids.

Only assume he decided he wanted Everton and that's why he comes here...

Has it come out why his move to Ipswich fell through yet?

They agreed a deal initially with obligation to buy.

Ornstein says Ipswich revisited with two offers on deadline day but were turned down.

Given we're not paying his wage for a while, and theres no obligation - what offers from Ipswich could have been turned down?

Assume loan fee but then we're not going to have paid much.

Sounds weird to me, maybe Broja was tipped off of Everton and just said no to Ipswich yesterday? "contributed to ITFC move collapsing"

I think we're stuck with his wages regardless, mate. May be able to cancel his registration, and make room for another loan, but the money is committed either way.
At least get a loaned who can play .... he looks a classy player but lasts not that long in his last two appearances if it was a very bad tackle- ok - he kicked the turf & then fell over ? Out for 3 weeks plus treatment cost ....
