Ha ha, yes, remember when we loaned that centre back from Man City (Mangala, was it?) who played twice then did his ACL? Lamina Traore as well, one game, one goal, one season ending injury! We do know how to pick 'em.

If he can avoid trying to kick the ball and so stay uninjured, would be interesting to see how he looks in this very different side.

Good news indeed. Need to see what he’s got, and his career is only going one way if he can’t finish the season. Though next time a squadron of air ambulances come to scoop him off the pitch, I will be reassured it’s probably a 4-6 week niggle rather than early retirement and coaching badges for him.

This lad, DCL and the like need to be shown this picture of Ted Drake, the old Arsenal forward. Carried off the pitch unconscious, brought around, put back onto the pitch and scored a hat-trick. Obviously this was an extreme case and I would not condone anybody knocked out being allowed back on, but so many of players stay out of the game with ‘niggles’ or ‘twinges’. None of us mere mortals would be able to cry off work because we had a niggling injury.

….its not about how young or old they are, football has always been about how good they are. Can’t play footballers simply because they’re young, they have to be very talented.

I wouldn’t in the least be surprised if young Braiden Graham makes an appearance this season, even briefly off the bench as he looks a talent.

I have watched the last couple of under 21s games because of membership qualifications and I agree about young Graham as a young talent, but I also believe the lad Sheriff is an even better prospect than Graham. But that is just my opinion.
