Questionable as a personality, but football wise probably as close as we can get to replacing Richarlison. Although if he does sign it'll be interesting to see where he fits in, he's versatile but also maybe not totally perfect for any one role in Dyche's system.

Maybe he just didn't say when he'd join?

We need him if he is coming, forgive and forget. I don't think many players would have come here, when we'd just sacked our manager and a team in Europe wanted him. It didn't work out for him, he's already been punished.

In Jan I was quite happy with the prospect of getting him, but the drama of what unfolded and then the fact he turned us down for a place on the bench - at best, really left a bad taste.

Does he improve us? Probably, not arsed about him one bit now though - any potential joy his signing might have brought has well gone.
