Dyche has probably got his eye on another McNeil/harrison. Someone who will run all day and may nick the odd goal, but lack pace or a spark at times.

Dyche is a percentage manager, a bit like Moyes.

When you pay someone a bonus of £3m to stay up, guess what, they play a style that gets enough points. Hard to beat, Nick the odd goal.

If you gave him a bonus to get into Europe and no bonus for staying up you would get a different style

I doubt you would, he’s not managing based on bonuses

If the rumours of some other club taking him on are true, especially if it means we get a good chunk of the loan fee back, we should jump on it. Dyche doesn't fancy him, we need money for a loan fee if we're going to do anything this window and he's not really had an impact. Might be the best option for all parties.

I doubt you would, he’s not managing based on bonuses

Of course he is. At the start of each season you agree your targets with the Board and the reward that goes along side it. You then set your team up to give you the best chance of achieving it.

Whether he can play another way we don’t know. He hasn’t got a team

Yes he won’t just have a a survival bonus. And never played a different way at Burnley in 10yrs and buying Beto was such a dyche signing. Technically poor unlikely to score loads of goals, but big and strong. Surely you know how dyche plays by now

Ok but I said if you didn’t give him a survival bonus and did give him a larger Europe bonus he would change (he might not be able to change well but would change)

but who the hell knows what bonuses clubs give out. Did Burnley give him a European bonus when they got Europe? And only a survival bonus the following year when they finished 15th and only a European bonus when they got relegated. See how mad that sounds.

But one 7th finish, one 10th finish 5/6 other bottom 6 finishes and 2 relegations, while playing the same way, probably means a 52yr old dyche ain’t changing.

Because mcneill was poor on the right...danjuma is no right winger neither is mcneill...we need a right winger.

He played well. Things he tries won't always come off, but I'd rather see an attacking player attempt things than turn back inside and play the ball backwards every time.

At least looks to run with the ball and beat his man. Tracked back well today as well. Hopefully can keep that up while McNeil is out.
