Kone was hailed as the reason Lukaku hit form earlier in the season and now he's a liability! How things change.

He's a forward being played on the left, he's there to link up with Lukaku not cover the fullback. Not his fault that's just his role. I've been screaming for cover for the fullbacks since last season, its just something that doesn't seem to bother Martinez.

Going forward Kone is out of form but he's got 5 goals and 4 assists this season so overall he's doing OK. Mirallas should be getting more game time but he probably wouldn't be asked to cover the full back either.

The role he plays is fantastic when it works - e.g. West Brom away, Sunderland and Villa at home - the first half of the Norwich game.

He drifts inside and links up well with Rom. It also stops Rom becoming isolated up top on his own - which happened a few times against Newcastle.

However, I think that Kone just isn't up to starting every game, and the role doesn't work when you're not seeing loads of the ball (e.g. Spurs, even against Stoke).
