No he wasn't. First half he was dangerous and linked up well. Second half he was out the game but worked hard. Be stupid to criticise our player of the season who's currently joint top scorer in the league after one so called "awful" game anyway.

Fair dos, his complete lack of effort was a disgrace when he came on last night. Watching him half arsed jog around the field makes me believe Mirallas has been shaggin' Roberto's mrs on the sly and has been caught in the act.

...it's the position he plays that concerns me, it really disrupts the balance and leaves us defensively exposed. I don't mind bringing him on if we are chasing a goal but not when we're defending what we have. Strange decision to bring him on over Lennon.

Only thing I could think of is that he's been quite effective at defensive headers plus he does divert at least one of their centre backs at the other end to give Rom a bit more space while he was tiring.
