lol, yes they do.

Interesting thought but it's the first time I've seen this in all the time I've followed football.

What makes you think that this is the case/actually true in Kone's case?

If he was on £12k a week and we wanted to shift him, there's plenty of teams who would go for him at Championship level which hasn't yet happened.

Just look it up, loads of salary sites, net worth etc available.

His wage in 2016 was £600k, 2015 was £1.1 million.

Now he has not signed a new contract in that time.

Those salary websites are far from reliable though. I remember them saying Tim Howard was on 10k pw for us lollol

We have an aging squad, we have done for years, if your theory had any merit, our wage bill would reduce each year, but it doesnt it increases, MASSIVELY.

Theres a VERY, VERY slim possibility that considering this last year was an "extension", so to speak, that it may have had reduced terms, personally I doubt it, I can assure you hes not on 12k a week tho, thats without question.

Theres not a single wage site on the whole internet you can trust.

More realistic for sure. I can't imagine a player agreeing to a contract where the wage reduces each year?

Hes all over the place, he said a page or 2 ago that we tripled Kones 3k a week wage when he first signed, then said he went from 25k to 12k.

The fellas a mess.

Most players over a certain age will no doubt be offered a reduced wage when they sign a new contract, like Barry for example, he would be lucky if he kept the same wages, but wouldnt imagine it would be a massive decrease if at all.

On signing a new deal for sure you would expect the likes of Barry to take a lesser deal, but for it to decrease year on year as part of the contract is a strange one.

Its possible its happened, infact im sure it has happened at some point, somewhere, maybe, who knows, I cant imagine Kone is on such a thing tho.
