Arouna Kone

Hes all over the place, he said a page or 2 ago that we tripled Kones 3k a week wage when he first signed, then said he went from 25k to 12k.

The fellas a mess.

Most players over a certain age will no doubt be offered a reduced wage when they sign a new contract, like Barry for example, he would be lucky if he kept the same wages, but wouldnt imagine it would be a massive decrease if at all.

I would rather look around myself and then decide what is closer to what I believe... over just believing some rag, ever.

I don't care what he gets paid currently if somebody will pay him £5k a week then we should pay the rest. I don't wish him any bad luck however he contributes nothing so that £5k is all profit.

He is not, at all on £40k a week.

His wage reduces year on year, like many older players that sign. But that's not cool to believe!!

He is now on £12k a week, after starting on £25k a week when he signed.

you are off your rocker if you think he is on anything close to 10k, a contract that reduces you wages each year HAHAHAHAH come one lad what are you smoking? his agent would need firing if he got him that contract

pretty sure his wigan wages were around 12k a week, he bumped that up significantly when he came here, would guess around the 40-55 k mark seeing as he was sgined as first choice at the time.
His new deal will have been on reduced terms, so say £25k ish?
either way he should go and play as he'll be getting paid regardless

I think at this point Arouna's contract is becoming a possitive asset for us. At least considering STCC and our expected summer business as he likely won't get a game here again. I think we should happily loan him out for a maximum fee we can get for him while we pay all his wages. Then we happily let him go after his contract finally expires. And then in the next season we can raise our wages higher just because we have paid Kone all his wages this year.
