Kind of glad about that, even without him scoring today the attacking side of the starting 11 is just better when he is on the pitch.
opponents see him as a second striker coming from deep and it causes them all sorts of problems positionally. he's also very good and bringing others into the game and well... just a huge big strong lump who's willing to be a git about things (Barkley's second today)

Helped out a couple of times in defence as well, particularly useful at defending set peices where we are generally clueless.
 
He's definitely become a better all round player as he's got older. He's a right scamp on that left hand side, his off the ball is excellent, causes the opposition all kinds of problems. Even when he doesn't score you can tell how much he improves Rom's game, and judging by their reactions, Ross and Del seem to be enjoying the 4 of them getting consistent game time. Lennon, Kev and Clev will have to impress big time to get back in this side.
