A lad I know killed 2 locals about 18 months ago (I think) whilst driving bladdered in Thailand.
It made the news reports there, he got nicked then all went quiet and I heard nothing.
I obviously assumed I’d never see him again only for him to turn up back home about 3 weeks later.
He was offered a deal by the police to pay his way out.
He’s went back to his place there a couple of weeks later and everyone in Thailand is just carrying on like it never happened.
Mad these places.

I had a Thai friend on Ko Phangan there, a restaurant owner, who was "disappeared" by the local mafia and nobody really talked about it. It's fecking dark some of the stuff that goes on there.
