If there is one thing I hate about being an Everton fan in particular and our predicament in general it is fixtures like this one.
I have no anticipation or enthusiasm for games like this. None. Just going to make up the numbers and hoping we don't take a real hiding and be humiliated too much.
Our record at these grounds and against clubs like Arsenal is just a disgrace, an embarrassment, shameful, and pathetic, even allowing for where we've been and where we are.
It's gone beyond even statistical probability now and law of averages where you expect, in a blue moon, some freakish set of circumstances combine and we get a win. I don't believe a single member of the coaching or playing staff will go to Arsenal on Saturday and think we can win the game. We get a fair share of heroic draws and that's our lot.
If I had a minute with Dan Friedkin then this is what I'd tell him. This is what he has to understand if we are to ever change.
The only thing I agree with that we will crumble.I predict we start off well, miss a couple of good chances then crumble
A true Martyr for the causeHere I'm again on a train down (typical no seats left typical so standing) 2 hours to go, all this for an expected thumping
For us of course!Somehow I’ve gone from probably not watching to now going to the game.
Seen us score once in 5 matches there and I nearly missed that coz dcl scored so early.
I’m going 4/5 nil
Who was the player we signed with Wayne Clarke? Was there special times, what a goal by the way
