The point is, he helped us get a point.Whats the point of Lindstrom?
Good to read you positivity mate...I predicted 5 points for Dec and we’ve already got 4! So if we can sneak into Jan avoiding the relegation zone I’m a happy man! This was a point I never expected and I’ll drink to that
Jeez, he's frustrating isn't he. I remember that incident and Dom was pointing to where the ball should be played as he started his run.I’m just having a pint after leaving the Emirates and enjoying an unexpected point from the game.
My observations from my vantage point in Block 22-:
Pickford was my MOM due to the saves he made but his overall calmness when we were in under pressure…good to see more positivity regarding collecting the ball or going and punching danger away.
Young played well but Branthwaite was a bit shaky at times and gave the ball away leading to dangerous situations…Tarkowski more solid than he has been and good to see him getting in the ear of the ref who was diabolical.
Finally, can someone kidnap Jack Harrison and drive him to Leeds and dump him in the Elland Road car park and even pay a reverse ransom to Leeds so he does not come back. There was a moment in the second half that was the epitome of a “Jackism” when he controlled a cross field pass and beat his marker in one touch, leaving him to play a pass to DCL who had started to make a really good run that would have given him a good shooting chance…Jack played the pass to the space that DCL had vacated behind him. He was hooked off pretty quickly after that.
Didn't see the game but looking at the highlights we did avoid giving away silly free kicks. Now if we can only do the same at Mordor later in the season and return the favour to Arsenal.Arsenal are struggling to score from open play so if we can avoid giving silly free kicks and corners away there's a small chance of a 0-0. 2-0 is a more realistic prediction
This. I suppose that, technically speaking he did struggle. In the sense that playing against Saka is always a struggle and nobody keeps him quiet- He's a nightmare to play against and there's a reason the lad's into double figures for goals and assists every season. Mykolenko limited himI dunno, he kept Saka relatively quiet
It's not really though. In the sense that it's simply Dyche's modus operandi. He sets up the same way against Southampton at home. We'll have more possession because they'll lose the ball more frequently- It would be pragmatic to play that way against the likes of Arsenal away if we then attacked the weaker teams more. But it is pragmatic
The way I see it mate, Harrison is not going to get any better. Lidstrom might. It's his first season playing in the premier league.Whats the point of Lindstrom?
Absolutely, it was an excellent defensive display. A point was more than I was expecting. Those complaining we had no attacking intent need to think about what attacking intent would have resulted in. Eg these players would have most certainly been taken apart. The most impressive part of today's point is the way the full squad have bought into it playing so defensively.
Lindstorm did pretty well (better than I expected anyway) defensively.. if they can keep that level of togetherness we ll be fine I think.
Yes, I agree we could have stole it. He should have buried it. But going behind could have energised Arsenal.....so it is what it is.We had an xg of 0.17 or something ridiculous but I would say Doucoure should really have had a goal.
Very happy to have taken a point, but the approach to the game was terrible. You can go into a game well set up to defend but most teams that go there will have some sort of a plan to catch them on the counter, maybe nick a goal, but not us. We were a great performance from the keeper from getting a hammering like we got from Chelsea last season. And we have n`t seen a good performance since Ipswich, plenty to not be satisfied with and not going to ignore that cause Arsenal didn`t bring their shooting boots yesterday.Ffs sake, never satisfied. You'd have easily taken that point before the game.
Yeah. It was as much a comment about xg not really telling the full story.Yes, I agree we could have stole it. He should have buried it. But going behind could have energised Arsenal.....so it is what it is.
