He didn't make it anywhere else too. A tad of understandable hype, a bit of end product but not enough.More anonymous matches than grand-ones. He was young.

Could be worse and DCL needing 432 goesI think that that xG was a reasonably fair assessment. It was Dacoure. He probably needs about 10 goes in that situation to score
That's like being the best looking blind person at a blind partyHe's miles better than anything we have now.
Oh I'm sure it is, as you say, based on position and space available. I suspect that in the future they may introduce an algorithm to incorporate finishing ablity.I did as well. Just wouldn't have thought it worked like that.
It's the same technology as ball over goal line check. Maybe they think corners don't matter.VAR can't intervene. They've limited it to just give the referee enough discretion to cheat without VAR getting involved. Same with yellow cards.
Yup, a hugely frustrating player. Genuinely talented, but indisciplined and hugely inconsistent. His fitness was always suspect. The truth is, given his reputation as one of the best young players on the planet when he was at Barcelona, his subsequent career was largely disappointing.More anonymous matches than grand-ones. He was young.

If Doucoure had taken his chance like he really should have then we may well have done exactly that.Very happy to have taken a point, but the approach to the game was terrible. You can go into a game well set up to defend but most teams that go there will have some sort of a plan to catch them on the counter, maybe nick a goal, but not us. We were a great performance from the keeper from getting a hammering like we got from Chelsea last season. And we have n`t seen a good performance since Ipswich, plenty to not be satisfied with and not going to ignore that cause Arsenal didn`t bring their shooting boots yesterday.
If you take the expression 'expected goal' literally, you should apply a player's finishing ability to the equation.
In that position I would expect Haaland, Salah, Kane or any of the Arsenal attacking players to score there. When I saw Doucoure running through it was more hope of him scoring than expectation. I actually expected him to mess it up.
It's based on all shots from that position on the pitch, and takes into account defenders between the ball and the goal etc as well. If it was done solely on each individual player you wouldn't get enough comparable data to make a statistical model due to that specificity. (And you wouldn't be able to compare players/teams directly, cos their results would only ever be how well they did against their own predicted ability).I did as well. Just wouldn't have thought it worked like that.
Was a great, completely uninteresting, point.
I understand the practicality needed, but I have to say I was completely disinterested in the match until the final minutes.
