I've watched the first half of the game of the day programme. It's not beyond the realms of imagination that we could of had 3/4 goals in that first half and blown these away.

arsenal's second typified the situation. rather than clearing it just stood ball watching hoping something would be given. let's see what happens in the summer. I ain't holding my breath though

Ok Season has finally ended officially.

From today, I will take the positives that we are still capable of making lots of good scoring chances at the away ground of a very efficient team but our lack of deadly conversion needs to be addressed - this to be sorted I hope in the summer. (Had that been the other way around I think we would have leaked a load of goals - Everton that).

However....

Centre back partnership is not fit for purpose.

We did not succeed in going for the jugular at all of a team down to ten men so early - lots of chances with minimal return. This has become too regular to be tolerated further.

Conclusion - a number of serious signings are required as the current team, albeit having had a respectable season, has displayed a total inability to rise to the challenge in the really important fixtures - today btw I think their minds were on some Costa somewhere and this is just not acceptable.

RK has a number of issues to address throughout the main first 18 and the squad in general.

This summer will again be one in which Evertonians will watch every possible move with bated breath.

Overall, we are in a healthier state than this time last year, but we are a long way off challenging for the top 4 or 6 at present.

There are a number of squad players whose attitude is very questionable and probably need to be moved on.

Leadership appears to be absent on the pitch. We need someone around whom the new Everton can be built.

Can't disagree with any of that.

Only positive i can take from today is our marvellous away fans. Great turn out again in an end of season game. As it meant nothing to our final league position why go all that way because we believe. It's a pity that some, not all, don't have tbe same belief & passion.
I'm not going to point and blame but to those that won't be here next year my club will be and so will I. So good bye good luck and remember the grass isn't always greener .

...watching the game yesterday I wondered how many were playing their last game in an Everton shirt. Kone, Valencia, Lukaku, Barkley and maybe the likes of Jagielka. It's quite a potential exodus.

Do you think lukaku played well today?
Not particularly. He played better than some and worse than others.

Over the course of the season though, he's demonstrated that he's one of the four or five best strikers in the prem. We'd be mad to get rid of him instead of bringing in quality to play alongside him.
