Art

My daughter went to the Edinburgh school of Art only 8 places available - she has been up there 14 years & is now in Art management after a top degree & a masters achieved she has achieved a top job in Art Management up there -- Our dog Nell sadly died last October she has not lost her talent -

That's brilliant mate, you must be incredibly proud of her and what she's achieved.

It's so cold up there lol I have been the Bank of England for her plus her Grandparents have too - she also worked part-time at top shop to fund her fees ..... still now paying those fees back on her loan on her NI contributions....

Have to admit I love the cold weather, think I'd be in my element up in Scotland :D

I'm guessing the fees must be massive, with lots of students having to work part-time in restaurants and bars etc. as well as depending on their parents for help. It's a pity really, as I'm sure a lot of people must also be put off going to University for fear of getting into so much debt.

Just taking the piss really, but well done to him:

Italian Artist Salvatore Garau Has Just Sold an Invisible Sculpture for $18,000 USD

Made from “air and spirit.”

Italian artist Salvatore Garau has just sold an invisible sculpture for $18,000 USD. The Io Sono (I am) sculpture, as the artist explains, exists but just not in material form, and is actually more like a “vacuum.”

The 67-year-old went on to elaborate that, “the vacuum is nothing more than a space full of energy, and even if we empty it and there is nothing left, according to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, that ‘nothing’ has a weight. Therefore, it has energy that is condensed and transformed into particles, that is, into us.” Much like how we “shape a god we’ve never seen.”

The “sculpture” is intended to be displayed in a 5×5-foot square and must be displayed in a private space free from obstructions where lighting and climate control are not required. Reiterating that even if you can’t see it, it does exist, Garau included a certificate of authentication to the purchaser

Here's a photo, for those who want to... erm... 'see it'.

IMG_20210728_162248_848.jpgI have decided to give up on anything to that comes out of a tube because I'm too clumsy, ham-fisted and messy. I always looked down my nose as coloured pencil drawings because I didn't think I could make it look realistic enough. was therefore amazed at how realistic coloured pencil drawings can look if you take them seriously!

I drew to this from a photo I downloaded
