Visited my mum today in her care home. She's 96 and drew this yesterday.
Funnily enough, something my brother said, about a cake I made yesterday, led me to Google the original MacArthur Park, by Richard Harris. It's always been one of my all-time favourite songs. It was in the days (1968) before every actor and his dog thought he could sing. There have been more accomplished versions since but there was something about the fragility of his voice.The one's that are multifaceted are very few and between, though.
Then there are those that are 'the jack of all trades, but master of none'.
Then you get your 'Russell Crowe's'. Very competent actor, but he'll also have you believing that he's an equally talented musician...
Spoiler: No, he is not. If you've ever had the misfortune of hearing his music, then you'd know that a cat slowly getting its lower intestines ripped out of its hoop sounds better.
