Hasn't he just joined Fio?
If we played with the wall of steel, aka, Fellaini and Heitinga, we could easily play without a deeplying and go with an advanced playmaker, just saying lad.
He's old, they wouldn't sell him, he wouldn't leave for us anyway and you're an idiot.
If we played with the wall of steel, aka, Fellaini and Heitinga,
Gourcuff and Van der Vaart aren't replacements for Arteta, they can't playing as deep lying playmakers, at least not in England. Afellay last season was playing deeper than before, but it's probably too early for him too.
Defour would be my pick, his past experience alongside Fellaini would be an additional bonus.
I enjoy watching Stoke from time to time, but it doesn't mean I would like to see Everton playing like them.I've already seen the Wall of Steel - albeit with Fellaini and Cahill in the roles in the 'backs to the wall' game in Athens. Fellaini was awesome in this role and we all know Johnny can do it. I'd be delighted if, on our harder away days we played 4-2-3-1 / 4-3-2-1 with Arteta just in front of Marouane and Johnny feeding the likes of Timmy, Vic (strong bugger that he is) and Louis (or whoever Moyesie wanted to put in the side up front)
We would have way too many central midfielders then, we will struggle to use all of them properly even without Defour.I want Defour even if Arteta stays. Can't beleive he's still at Liege.
