Arteta Agrees New Five Year Deal !!!

As centre midfielders, neither Gerrard or Lampard are better than Arteta. We saw that during the World cup and many games where they are asked to play in more demanding positions (orthodox midfielders) and struggle. Great in there niche roles for there clubs, granted, a very good players, but Arteta is a better CM than both of them.

Fabregas is certainly better than Arteta, no question.

Fabregas is a better player and much younger. Put 7 years on Fabregas and then tell me if you think they're still on par.

Arteta is better than Cesc in some respects, I would actually say that he has more of an all round game, but then he is much older and more experienced. When it comes to influencing games, being a matchwinner, you'd have to say Fabregas is streets ahead.

He does, and probably always will do. Arteta is good in pretty much every area, short passing, long passing, shooting, dribbling etc.

Cesc vision is ridiculous really, his first touch and passing ability are his stand out qualities, he's a visionary. That's what makes him stand out so much, he sees and makes passes that other players wouldn't even attempt.

To get a truer picture of who's better, we'd have to see Arteta in the Arse side of the last two or three years and Fabregas in the Everton side over the same period. To be fair, you'd have to say that Arsenal's style of play (in general) is better suited to this sort of player.

Why? Because Ibanez is not allowed to speak to other clubs whilst the player is under contract. Unless the last 6 months of the contract or Everton give permission.
