He's the one that's written it.

Nevertheless, it's amazing how clueless some people were.

Tell me about it. I think many Blues have had their heads turned by Lescott's ridiculously fortuitous £24M fee and now probably expect £11M for Hibbert or Osman if a "big" club come knocking. If Arteta was 23 and had four years left on his contract and didn't want to go and City were bidding then maybe we'd get a sackful of swag. But in a world where Barca are bidding £30M for the brilliant young wantaway Fabregas....???

That article is taken from the local Andalucian news.

Consensus I am getting is that it's unlikely Sevilla could afford him.

Spoke to a mate in Spain who says they'll probably be using it to get Cigarini for a lower fee. He also says its not the most reliable of sources.

14m euros what a load of my arse! He's worth double.
Not when he wants to leave and come back to Spain.

Arteta's Girl - good shout about Sevilla using Arteta to get Cigarini, but I don't understand your claim that "they can't afford him". They actually are rich enough to pay 12-15 mln euros for him.

Just what I got told off my mate out there. He says that sort of money is a hell of a lot for them in this climate and he doesn't believe they can afford to pay what we'd want.

I agree it's a big money for them, but they really, really need CM like Arteta. Since Dani Alves left (who was their playmaker, despite officially playing as RB) they are horribly one-dimensional - with defensive players in the middle and classic wingers. They've tried to change it with Romaric, but he disappointed over last 2 years, so they know they will have to pay to get somebody much, much better than him.

Just what he says. Said it's the same with all the teams out there, just skint.

I was reading some of the comments on one of the articles and from what little I could grasp, their fans were very complimentary about Arteta but not positive about the deal coming off.

We'll see anyway.

Are you for real lad they really need this , an they really need that because they lack creativity in this area WHO GIVES A **** what they need go an support them if you know so much about them, moyes would never Ever ever ever ever have sold Joleon lescott only they eventually paid silly money for him an it turned out it actually helped OUR cause, do you honestly think David moyes will sell his best player he's ever worked with to a Spanish club for 14 million euros , he won't sell him for less than 26 million POUND and let me educate you about serville they couldn't afford half that so put the tread night nights unless man city put all there hopes on signing him , he will be in the line up to face Blackburn for the opener

If the club is willing to sell its heart, brain and soul for £14 million, then there is no hope for us.
