Why do Barca need Fabregas or Arteta when they've already got Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets?, not to mention Keita and Messi who can play as playmakers as well......don't understand

It probably is without doubt because they can EFCTim on LCABS way of thinking but I agree they don't need either player just yet. Admittedly I wasn't thinking of it that way more a thick of thieves arrangement between Arsenal & Barca but LCAB's view is probably closer to the mark.

One thing I do know is that Guardiola was Arteta's hero when he was growing up and Guardiola took Arteta under his wing at Barca when Mikel was coming through. He models his game on Guardiola's.

We'll see , lad .

1 thing for sure , we did NOT need this , now .

Well , if he goes , he'll get a REAL close-up view of Pep' .

Real close . Sitting next but 1 to him on the bench every week .

There are LOADS of reasons to go . NONE of them about first team football .

No-one has mentioned the National Team , thing . This may be another large factor to La Vision De Oro .

I think they are just trying to force Arsenals hand.

Doesnt help us with our best player being unsettled though! You can hardly blame him either

The article didn't actually say that he was the target if Fabregas move failed, just that he would be one considered, and as far as I'm aware, it was only in that paper that said they were interested in him - which if I remember rightly, is not the most reliable. Though another claims his agent says there has been no contact.

I do get the feeling its just another way of trying to call Arsenal's bluff. Though, could be wrong. As LCAB says though, particularly at this point in time, this is exactly what we do not need.

Not just that article , love .

TalkSPORT have been running with it all morning .

Is it just me & the tyranny of distance, or has it gone quiet about his "personal" reasons for wanting to leave? (Or, was that pure press garbage?)

Could be . Me point was , its on various media now .

It's out - there .

Mission accomplished .

Yeah. You're right, they got just what they wanted and now it's spread everywhere.

As I say though, the way they phrased the article implied he was someone being considered a long with some others, I find it funny that he was the one who was named (considering Arsenal have been linked to him previously this summer) and not one of the other people being considered. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Guess we all just got to sit and hope there's nothing in it.
