They haven't had many of these types of results this season.

Brentford at the start of the season is maybe the only other one. Tended to be a the teams in bottom 12, mixed bag of results fro teams between 4th and 8th and generally get beat by Top 3.

Not having both 1st choice full backs playing didn't help them last night. Biggest issue though was Palace just seemed to have more energy across the pitch and their front 3 were more of a threat (or Palace defended better. I'm not quite sure which).
Yeah Palace were great, it wasn't just Arsenal being poor, all credit to the smaller team last night

Palace have looked good this season. Whether they can continue that next season will be the challenge.

Palace have done really well at re-juvenating their squad and getting the age down. They've done so whilst moving to a more attractive style of football and getting results (PL and FA Cup). The challenge they have is whether they can become a Leicester, West Ham or Wolves who have multiple seasons challenging for Europe and being somewhat in the mix for trophies. That's the tangible dream for most of the PL clubs.

I'm not convinced by Arteta to be completely honest.

I thought they were quite easily beaten by us at Goodison in our worst ever run. The magnificent Gray winner was the exclamation point upon what was a far better performance than theirs. Given the money they've spent this summer they would be remiss not to go on a strong run.

Credit where it's due but if he were at this club with zero transfer budget doubt he could put together much better than we've got now.

Credit to Arteta for restoring some of my lost credibility after my slanders of Lampard
